CSI EPC is committed to responsibly recycling electronic materials. We work with our customers to help them adhere to the different provincial and state recycling programs. CSI EPC is an affiliate of the Ontario Electronic Stewardship (OES) program. We are also certified by the Alberta Recycling Management Authority (ARMA) as a registered Supplier for Electronics Recycling in Alberta, and we are a designated e-waste drop-off facility for Alberta under the provincial programs.
Corporations, Educational Institutions and individuals can recycle old and unusable electronics, free of charge, at our approved facility. Items listed below are currently included in the Alberta Recycling program.
CSI EPC has recycled five million units of computer equipment and televisions, keeping hazardous materials such as lead, mercury and cadmium found in circuit boards and cathode ray tubes out of the landfills. This includes more than 1.5 million computers, 940,000 printers, 1.4 million monitors and 1.1 million televisions that have been diverted from landfills.
All of this e-waste has been dismantled into 99,100 metric tonnes of metal, plastic and glass that has been sent to approved downstream processors who focus on particular waste streams, such as CRT glass, circuit boards and plastic. To properly manage environmental and legal risks, this process reclaims reusable materials and components and neutralizes sensitive wastes to protect your environmental liability. CSI EPC ensures environmentally-responsible recycling of electronic waste including de-manufacturing and reselling electronics as well as segregating material for recycling into commodities. Equipment is processed within compliance of all applicable environmental laws.
